A porcelain twin of your body, shaped by your own tape.

Leano’s 3D twin: a porcelain figure turned three-quarters, with jade tapes at the neck, shoulders, chest, arms, waist, belly, hips, thighs and calves.

Wrap a tape measure around up to 14 places, add your height, and Leano 2 reshapes a 3D figure to your numbers. Measure again a week later and it shows where the centimetres went.

The twin shows where the tape goes

While you measure, each site lights up on the 3D figure with a line on where to hold the tape. Left and right arms and legs are measured separately, so a difference between sides shows up instead of being averaged away.

Front view of the female base figure with its 14 tape positions numbered from the neck down to the calves.

Left and right are your own sides, so on this front view your left arm is on the right.

  1. 1NeckJust below the Adam’s apple, the tape sloping slightly down toward the front.
  2. 2ShouldersAround the widest point of both shoulders, arms hanging at your sides.
  3. 3ChestAcross the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits.
  4. 4, 5Upper armsHalfway between shoulder and elbow, arm relaxed.
  5. 6, 7ForearmsAround the widest part, just below the elbow.
  6. 8WaistMidway between your lowest rib and the top of your hip bone.

Then and now, on the same body

Pick an earlier session and it stays around today’s twin as a faint ghost. The heat map colours each region by the centimetres it gained or lost, and the session tape under the twin moves the body through every date you measured.

Colour never decides what counts as progress. You choose a goal (lose, gain or recompose) and Leano says in words whether each change moves toward it. A change too small for a tape to tell apart is marked as within tape error.

Comparing your latest two sessions is free. Any two dates, the heat map and time-lapse are part of Pro.

A calm weight trend through the daily swings

Log your weight in a few seconds, or let Leano read it from Apple Health. Each day moves the trend 10% of the way toward that day’s weight, so water and salt swings barely touch it, and the weekly rate reads the trend, never a single morning.

Set a goal weight and Leano shows how far the trend still has to go and the next milestone on the way. Pro adds an estimated goal date from the last three weeks. Leano leaves the date out while there is too little data, while the trend is level or heading away from the goal, or when the date would be more than two years off.

When the scale stalls, the tape often still moves. In the same eight weeks of sample data, the weight trend fell 0.3 kg while the waist lost 3.0 cm.

Weigh-ins, the trend, the weekly rate and charts of the last 90 days are free.

Four numbers, each with its source

Leano works these out from your tape and scale readings and shows the formula behind each one. They describe body shape. They are not a diagnosis, and they do not replace a conversation with a doctor.

Progress photos that line up

The camera shows a faint ghost of your last photo in the same pose, so your feet, framing and distance match from one week to the next. Take front, side and back photos with a 3 or 10 second timer, then compare two dates with a slider.

Photos stay inside Leano on your device. They are never uploaded and never added to your photo library.

Free compares your latest two photos of a pose. Pro compares any two dates.

What stays on your phone, and what leaves it

Leano has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. What you record is kept on your iPhone or iPad.

Coming from Leano 1

Update the app and open it. Leano 2 moves over your measurements, weight, goals, life events, your own parts and the photos still on your phone, then builds the twin from your latest numbers. An active Leano 1 subscription is recognised through the App Store, with nothing to restore by hand.

Start with your waist

One number already gives the twin its shape. Add the rest when you have a few minutes.
